The Witch

Enchant, Add Affix, Reroll Affix and Upgrade Affix Tier — effects, costs, escalation, and craft-lock timers.

Aria works on an item’s affixes (the Blacksmith works the item itself). Four services:

  • Enchant — adds +2% to every rolled affix value per step, up to 10 steps (+20%). Costs Echo Shards.
  • Add Affix — mints one new rolled affix. You choose which affix (“Affix to Add”); the value rolls when she finishes. One added affix per item, ever. Magic and Rare only. Costs Echo Cores.
  • Reroll Affix — replaces one existing affix with a freshly drawn eligible one, preserving the roll’s percentile (a near-perfect roll stays near-perfect). Repeatable, but the Echo Core cost doubles with every reroll already done on that item. Magic and Rare only.
  • Upgrade Affix Tier — raises one rolled affix by a tier, also percentile-preserving. Capped at the host item’s base tier — raise that at the Blacksmith first. Costs Echoing Crystals.

Reroll and Upgrade Tier share one picker, labelled “Affix to Reroll / Upgrade”.

Every service is commissioned in place: the item stays where it is — including equipped and in use — while she works, and the result applies to it when the timer elapses. The lock scales with rarity (Magic = 2 h, Rare = 4 h, Unique = 8 h), keeps counting down while you’re offline, and the exploration skill Witch’s Favor shortens it. One commission at a time.

Because the roll happens at completion, Add Affix, Reroll and Upgrade Tier are all a reveal: you pay now and learn the result when she’s done.

Costs

ServiceMaterialGold formula
EnchantEcho Shards(1000 + ilvl × 180) × rarityMult
Add AffixEcho Cores(2500 + ilvl × 240) × rarityMult
Reroll AffixEcho Cores × 2ⁿ(2500 + ilvl × 240) × rarityMult
Upgrade Affix TierEchoing Crystals (100 / 200 / 400 / 800 into tier 2 / 3 / 4 / 5)(3000 + ilvl × 260) × rarityMult

Material amounts scale with the item’s tier: 1 / 2 / 4 / 8 / 16 per craft for Tier 1 through Tier 5. For Reroll, that tier cost is the base and n is the number of rerolls the item has already had — 16 Cores, then 32, then 64 on a Tier-5 item.

On tier-5 items the gold fee is replaced by Echoing Crystals (ceil(gold ÷ 10), minimum 1) — so a Tier-5 tier-up pays crystals twice over: the fee and the tier-up material.

Uniques can be Enchanted at 2× material (and an 8 h lock), but cannot have an affix Added, Rerolled or Tier-Upgraded. Bedroom Cost Reduction and the Master Craftsman exploration skill both cut the gold cost.
