Regions & Enemies
The five regions of Theron, their areas and dungeons, level ranges, and the enemies that stalk them.
On this page
Theron is divided into five regions, unlocked in order. Each region holds ten combat areas plus a single dungeon; clearing a region’s dungeon opens the next region. Areas climb in difficulty by a fixed step, so successive regions begin 20 ranks apart.
Overview
| Region | Levels | Dungeon | Tier cap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Parched Grasslands | 1–19 | Scorchvault Sanctum (rank 23) | 1 |
| Cursed Swamp | 21–39 | Hexdepth Reliquary (rank 43) | 2 |
| Scorched Foothills | 41–59 | Pyreheart Crucible (rank 63) | 3 |
| Shattered Mountains | 61–79 | Worldsplit Depths (rank 83) | 4 |
| Dark Citadel | 81–99 | Throne of Endless Night (rank 103) | 5 |
The tier cap is the highest gear tier that can drop in that region, so late regions are also where the best bases come from.
How enemies scale
An enemy’s level equals its area’s difficulty rank. Areas step up +2 rank each, starting at rank 1, and every region begins 20 ranks above the last (1, 21, 41, 61, 81). Player and enemy levels cap at 99, though endgame content ranks can climb past it.
Each area fields ten enemy types — 6 common, 3 rare, 1 special — but they appear at very different rates: spawns are weighted 98.2% common / 1.5% rare / 0.3% special.
- Rare enemies spawn +1 level above the area and multiply the base stats: HP ×1.8, damage ×1.3, Attack & Defense Rating ×1.2.
- Special enemies (the mini-bosses) spawn +2 levels above the area and hit harder still: HP ×3, damage ×1.6, Attack & Defense Rating ×1.4.
Base (common-rarity) stats follow power curves of level:
- HP ≈ 3.25 × level^1.35 + 50
- Damage ≈ 0.5 × level^1.3 + 5 (further scaled by swing speed)
- Attack Rating ≈ 5 × level^1.35 + 100
- Defense Rating ≈ 3 × level^1.35 + 100
For a sense of the curve, a common enemy runs about 53 HP / 6 damage / 105 AR / 103 DR at level 1, 767 / 99 / 1083 / 690 at level 50, and 1916 / 230 / 2572 / 1584 at level 99. Enemies also carry regional elemental resistances — a per-region base that rises about 0.1% per rank above the region’s start, capped at 85%.
Combat rewards by rarity
Beyond their tougher stats, rarer enemies pay out proportionally more. The reward multipliers below apply on top of the base per-rank XP and gold, and rarer foes also carry a small extra slice of elemental resistance.
| Rarity | XP | Gold | Drop chance | Extra resistance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | ×1 | ×1 | ×1 | +0% |
| Rare | ×2 | ×2 | ×2 | +3% |
| Special | ×4 | ×4 | ×4 | +6% |
So a special mini-boss is worth 4× the XP, gold, and drop odds of a common at the same area — a large part of why clearing toward the rare/special spawns matters more than raw kill count. The extra resistance stacks on top of the region base (a special in the Dark Citadel therefore fights at its 40% regional resist +6%).
Respawn timing. After an enemy dies, the next one spawns after
respawn = 1.18 + rank × 0.005 seconds, clamped to the 0.75 s–2.8 s range (rarity does not change
respawn time). At rank 1 that’s ~1.19 s; by rank 103 it’s ~1.70 s. Run-speed bonuses shorten this
further, down to a hard floor of 0.32 s.
Parched Grasslands

Levels 1–19 · Dungeon: Scorchvault Sanctum (rank 23) · Tier cap 1. A dry, sun-blasted frontier — the starting region. Resistances are minimal (Fire 5% / Ice 5% / Lightning 10% / Poison 5%).
| Rarity | Enemies |
|---|---|
| Common | Dune Scarab, Dust Crawler, Thorn Jackal, Sun Vulture, Cracked Raider, Ash Asp |
| Rare | Blister Hyena, Drought Witch, Sand Reaver |
| Special | Wasteland Behemoth |

Cursed Swamp

Levels 21–39 · Dungeon: Hexdepth Reliquary (rank 43) · Tier cap 2. A poisoned mire of hexes and rot (Fire 10% / Ice 10% / Lightning 10% / Poison 15%).
| Rarity | Enemies |
|---|---|
| Common | Bog Leech, Rottoad, Mire Stalker, Fen Crow, Spore Ghoul, Reed Lurker |
| Rare | Curse Shaman, Venom Hexer, Blight Brute |
| Special | Swamp Abomination |

Scorched Foothills

Levels 41–59 · Dungeon: Pyreheart Crucible (rank 63) · Tier cap 3. Ash and magma at the mountain’s feet; fire resistance climbs sharply here (Fire 25% / Ice 20% / Lightning 20% / Poison 20%).
| Rarity | Enemies |
|---|---|
| Common | Cinder Imp, Ash Hound, Ember Stalker, Smoke Raider, Coal Viper, Magma Lurker |
| Rare | Flame Warlock, Scalded Brute, Pyre Harrier |
| Special | Infernal Warden |

Shattered Mountains

Levels 61–79 · Dungeon: Worldsplit Depths (rank 83) · Tier cap 4. A broken, frozen range with high all-round resistances, ice highest (Fire 30% / Ice 35% / Lightning 30% / Poison 30%).
| Rarity | Enemies |
|---|---|
| Common | Crag Wolf, Stone Gnawer, Peak Bandit, Shard Hawk, Frost Goat, Thunder Lizard |
| Rare | Cliff Reaver, Runeshard Seer, Avalanche Brute |
| Special | Mountain Colossus |

Dark Citadel

Levels 81–99 · Dungeon: Throne of Endless Night (rank 103) · Tier cap 5. The endgame stronghold, where every elemental resistance sits at 40% (Fire 40% / Ice 40% / Lightning 40% / Poison 40%) and the best gear drops. Its dungeon rank exceeds the level cap, so its enemies fight at the level-99 ceiling.
| Rarity | Enemies |
|---|---|
| Common | Dusk Acolyte, Void Hound, Night Sentry, Grim Cultist, Bone Raven, Shadow Slasher |
| Rare | Soul Harvester, Hex Inquisitor, Wraith Lancer |
| Special | Citadel Overlord |
