v0.9.3 — The world gets a soundtrack
The world has a soundtrack now — and combat gets a cleaner, less swingy damage model.
Highlights
The world gets a soundtrack
The game now has a fully procedural soundtrack, synthesized live. Every region has its own theme while you fight there, the town and camp share the Hearth theme, and the menu plays the main anthem — and tracks crossfade as you move between them. A new Music toggle and volume slider live in Settings and save per device, and the music pauses when the tab goes to the background and resumes when you come back.
Enemy damage, rebuilt
Enemy damage is far less swingy: instead of a maximum hit being double the minimum, enemies now roll ±15% around their damage value — same average, much tighter spread — and the area difficulty gauge reflects it correctly. Enemy elemental bonus damage now scales off the raw physical hit (before armor and block), so armor answers the physical portion and the matching resistance is your only defense against the elemental rider. The enemy panel shows the correct pre-mitigation elemental range.
Also in this update
- Two new uniques: Ulysses’ Wandering (Chain Belt) — run speed, thorns, indestructible, flat defense; and Blood Walkers (Studded Jackboots) — a Vampire Grasp proc on hit, life leech, vitality, run speed, enhanced defense.
- The stash grid gains the same sort and filter controls as the inventory, plus a quick Deposit all materials button in the inventory header that works from any tab.
- The achievements window gains a search box that filters by name and description, and the four Echoed Hearts now name which champion and region they were torn from.
- Base inventory shrinks from 30 to 20 slots, and the bedroom Inventory Space upgrade now grants +1 slot per level (down from +2) — the stash is where hoards belong now.
- Tier-5 crafting crystal fees ×10: the conversion is now 10 gold to 1 Echoing Crystal (was 100 to 1), so a ~20k-gold T5 craft runs about 2,000 crystals.
- Fixes: trade-off uniques keep their maluses — negative affixes like Boots of Blinding Speed’s −Attack Rating were being silently dropped, and now load and apply as authored; Rampage stacks reset on every way a fight can end; and the witch’s enchant button now locks exactly when further enchants would be refused.
