v0.6.13 — Ember becomes Echo
A terminology cleanup that brings the crafting materials in line with the Echo system, plus some welcome clarity and fairness in combat.
Highlights
Ember becomes Echo
The Ember Shards and Ember Cores you craft with are now Echo Shards and Echo Cores, each with its own purple-tinted icon, matching the rest of the Echo system. Everything you’d already stockpiled carries straight over — only the name and the look change.
Buffs and debuffs you can read
Hover or tap any buff or debuff icon in a fight for a quick tooltip that names the effect and shows its current values. Those effects also last longer the higher their rank now, stretching from 6 seconds at rank 1 up to 25 seconds at rank 20.
Fairer XP against weaker foes
Killing something far below your level no longer hands out a wildly inflated reward — those kills are now capped at the on-level payout, for both per-kill XP and the bonus for finishing a tile. Echo skills also settle into softer diminishing returns as they climb, reining in runaway stacking.
Also in this update
- Crafting prompts now quote the real lock time, after your Forge and Witch echo bonuses have been applied.
- The save indicator reflects what actually happened, with a snappier shake when a save fails.
