v0.14.0 — Fog of war and new block affixes

World map

  • The region maps are rebuilt from painted hex tiles, with mountain ranges, forests, coasts and trails, and the Dark Citadel as a fortress city around an abyss.
  • Fog of war: everything you haven’t seen yet lies under drifting clouds. Your camp, every cleared tile with its neighbours, and every tile you can reach are revealed. A newly seen area clears over a moment, the trails only show on tiles you can reach, and a conquered region lifts its fog completely.
  • The Dark Citadel was laid out anew and has five more combat tiles (ranks 95–100). Tiles you already cleared stay cleared; the new ones wait to be explored. That makes 247 combat tiles in the world, and 247 Exploration Points to earn.
  • The tile progress bar shows “x / 500 kills” on hover. A cleared tile shows no bar, and the Resonance kill counter is no longer on the combat screen (it is still on the world map’s Resonance card).

New affixes

  • Heal on Block (magic and rare shields): heals you for 2–25% of the damage a block prevents, depending on the tier. The block’s log line shows how much you healed.
  • Reflect on Block (magic and rare shields): sends 2–25% of the damage a block prevents back at the attacker. It adds to Unyielding’s reflect share, and thorns still come on top.
  • Both can be added by the Witch from the Defense group.
  • Maximum Rage raises your rage cap of 100. It is unique-only, and no unique carries it yet.
  • Enemy DR Reduction is now unique-only (the unique Ardor keeps it). If your magic or rare items carry it, each roll is replaced by a random other affix of the same tier when you update your save.

Skills

  • Releasing Palm hits harder: its detonation now pays ×1.5 of the remaining damage over time at rank 1 and ×2.5 at rank 20 (was ×1.0 to ×2.0).
  • The “enemy has damage over time” cast rule now takes a stack count (1–50). Every burn, poison and bleed counts as one stack, all together: 2 poisons and 1 bleed make 3. That way Releasing Palm can wait for a full stack while the skills below it keep the Rage. Existing rules keep working as “at least 1”.

Monster hunts

  • You can call the hunting crew back while they’re out scouting: you get half the fee back, and whatever they were tracking is lost. Tracking the Brood Matriarch can’t be called off.
