v0.12.2 — Crafting preview, affix groups and Redo
A crafting update. You now see what a craft does before you pay for it, and adding affixes works by group with a way to try again.
Highlights
Result preview at the Blacksmith and the Witch
Under the socket sits a preview card that shows the item as it will look after the craft, in the same style as the hover tooltip. Changed values read old → new, with the old value grey and the new one blue. Removed lines are struck through.
Chips above the card pick what is previewed: Temper +1, Temper max (10/10) and Upgrade Base at the Blacksmith; Enchant +1, Enchant max (10/10), Add / Redo Affix, Reroll and Tier Up at the Witch. On desktop, hovering a service button switches the card too. Chips that don’t apply to the item are greyed out. While the artisan works, the card shows the result you paid for.
For Add Affix the card shows a placeholder line and lists every affix the group can roll, with its chance and its range. For Reroll it lists every possible outcome with its chance and its exact value, since the quality of the roll is kept.
Add Affix by group
Instead of picking one exact affix, you now pick an affix group: Attributes, Life, Resistances, Defense, Offense, Elemental, Skills, Fortune or Utility. When the Witch finishes, one affix of that group rolls on the item. The list only shows groups that can still roll something on the item (“Attributes · 3 possible”). Each item still gets one added affix, now marked with a small ⚗ in tooltips.
Redo Affix
Once an item has an added affix, the button turns into Redo Affix. Pick any group again: the new roll replaces the added line in place, and every other affix stays as it is. Each Redo on an item costs more than the last: gold rises by ×1.5 and Echo Cores by ×1.25 per Redo. A rare level 50 item pays 19,575 gold + 4 Cores for the Add, then 29,363 + 5, then 44,044 + 7.
Also in this update
- Reroll always changes the affix: the line’s current affix can no longer roll back.
- Reroll gets cheaper on repeat: the Echo Core cost now rises by ×1.25 per reroll on the same item instead of doubling. A tier-5 item pays 16, 20, 25, 32 Cores (was 16, 32, 64, 128). Gold is unchanged.
- The Reroll and Add outcome lists are sorted by affix group.
- Added and rerolled affixes now roll from the same pool as drops. Indestructible and Weightless can no longer be added to tier 1–3 items, where they did nothing, and Skill Rank and Chance-to-cast affixes from the Witch now come with their skill.
- Uniques that grant a skill now keep it after being unequipped.
- The Witch’s in-game help describes groups, Redo and the preview.
