v0.12.1 — Respec for gold, clearer fights

A follow-up to the class update. Respeccing is no longer something you ration, and the combat screen tells you more about what you are fighting.

Highlights

Respec for gold

Respec charges are gone. Resetting your skills is free up to and including level 12. From level 13 on it costs 5,000 + 500 gold per hero level: 11,500 at level 13, 20,000 at level 30, 30,000 at level 50. The Respec dialog shows the price and is greyed out while your gold falls short or no point is spent. The free class change until level 10 works as before.

Resetting your Exploration Skills costs half of a skill reset at your level, with the same free window.

A respec no longer throws away your setup. When you learn an active skill again, its cast condition, on/off switch and priority slot come back as they were, and learning your old main attack again selects it.

The Scroll of Amnesia no longer drops from dungeon bosses, and scrolls you already own can no longer be used.

The enemy card shows its real numbers

Hover the enemy card (tap it on phones) for a table of its physical and elemental damage, attack rating, defense rating and all four resistances. Each row shows the enemy’s own value next to the value that actually applies after your gear, buffs and debuffs.

The damage and hit chance on the card itself now match the combat math, including Intimidate and Taunt cutting the enemy’s damage.

New cast condition: enemy has a damage-over-time effect

Every active skill can now be set to “Enemy is Burning, Poisoned or Bleeding”. The skill then only casts while at least one such effect is ticking on the enemy.

Swing timers on the hero card

Your weapon swing bar, the dual-wield off-hand bar and the cast bar moved from the combat scene onto the hero card in the corner, where they no longer shake with the camera or disappear behind screen effects. The life bar on the card made room for them.
