v0.11.3 — Rage On Hit works, help lives in the wiki
A fix that some of you will feel on every swing, and a documentation move that makes the wiki the one place to learn the game.
Highlights
Rage On Hit finally does something
The Rage On Hit weapon affix rolled, showed on the card, and did nothing. It now adds to the rage of every landed weapon swing — plain attacks and weapon main skills alike, and the no-shield fallback of the shield skills. Real shield strikes, active casts, counters and thorns don’t count, since they never granted swing rage in the first place.
Two things keep it fair. The value is scaled by your weapon’s speed exactly like the swing’s own rage, so a fast dagger and a slow maul get the same rage per second from the same roll. And on multi-hit skills like Zeal the affix is split across the hits: a full Zeal swing grants the affix once, not three times, and a missed hit forfeits its share. Tier values are unchanged.
Help moves into the wiki
The bundled help page is gone. In its place the wiki has a Start Here guide: a short overview of every system with links into the detail pages, listed first in the wiki index and sidebar. The in-game menu’s Help entry opens it. Everything that only ever lived on the old page has been moved into the wiki page it belongs to — item requirements and auto-unequip, belt slots, lock and loot-filter details, item level to level requirement, event tiles, settings, respeccing, HP regen and caps, run speed.
The Damage Flow diagrams moved with it as a wiki page of their own and were redrawn against the engine: the mitigation cap and flat order, elemental riders on raw physical, the shield-interval and skill-speed re-base, the full attack-speed clamp chain, the attack-rating chain in code order, Riposte, thorns, and rage decaying only out of combat.
Bedroom upgrades announce themselves
A finished bedroom construction used to apply silently. It now pops a report window with the upgrade’s name, description and new level, plus a line in the item log. Upgrades that finish while you’re away still apply before your offline progress is worked out, and announce themselves the moment you’re back.
Fact-check, round two
Every help window and all 38 wiki pages were checked line by line once more. Corrections include the XP table (off by one level), dungeon ranks (off by two), the respawn formula on the regions page (weight and run speed, not rank), hidden barkeeper drinks (six, not eight), the hit-chance worked examples and the Crush multiplier, the resistance floor and the Resonance tax in the mechanics pages, the Delve death exception, hunt fee and satchel formulas, the jewelry fodder rule, Reroll and Tier-Up being Magic and Rare only, the Forge Mastery and Witch’s Favor caps, and the autosave policy. The dormant camp quest board is now marked as switched off rather than described as if it worked.
A new first-time Unique Attunement help window appears on the Equipment tab, or after a stopped fight, the first time you own an unawakened unique. The Armory, Bestiary, Achievements and Statistics windows lost their first-time help windows: menu entries don’t get one.
Also in this update
- The blacksmith now refuses to Temper amulets and rings at every level: the button is disabled with a reason, and the confirm prompt says why. Temper scales base stats, and jewelry has none. The unique docs note this exception.
- Ring of Embodiment and Stone of Absurdity showed their raw key names in game, the Armory and the uniques page. They have their names now, and the uniques page has its Rings section.
- The Inventory help title rendered a literal ”&”.
