v0.11.1 — Ring uniques and a real address
A short follow-up to the ring slots: something worth putting in them, a damage fix that touches every shield build, and the move to a proper domain.
Highlights
The first ring uniques
The ring slots shipped empty of legends. Two now exist:
- Ring of Embodiment — a Signet that can drop from level 1: all resistances, a little life regeneration, Constitution and reduced physical damage taken. A survival ring for a hero who has nothing else yet.
- Stone of Absurdity — a level 99 Jeweled Ring, ten times rarer than any other unique. All resistances, +1 to all skills, slower rage decay, run speed, and +2 ranks to one random skill.
Neither has its own icon yet. They show the base ring art in unique gold until the icons are drawn.
Two affixes only uniques can carry
- All Attributes adds its value to Strength, Dexterity, Vitality and Constitution at once, at roughly half a single attribute’s range.
- Random Skill Rank picks one skill when the unique drops — any skill unlocked at or below the drop level — and keeps it from then on. Two drops of the same unique can favour two different skills, and the item is named for the one it got.
Both are unique-only. They never roll on magic or rare gear, and the witch can’t add them.
Weapon and shield damage stay in their lane
A shield’s own Flat Damage and Enhanced Damage affixes were leaking into your weapon’s damage range, where they got scaled by weapon speed and multiplied by your main skill, and a weapon’s bonuses were feeding Shield Strike. That’s untangled:
- A shield’s Flat and Enhanced Damage feed only its Shield Strike damage.
- A weapon’s Flat and Enhanced Damage stay on the weapon.
- Flat and Enhanced Damage from every other slot are character-wide and add to whichever source is actually being swung.
Item cards now show what you’ll actually hit for: the archetype passive is folded into the weapon range, and a shield’s own bonuses plus the passive are folded into its Shield Damage line. Blessed Shield’s flat bonus was caught in the same pass and is back to its intended per-hit value: rank 20 adds +70 on every shield, no matter how slow it swings.
echoes-of-theron.com
The game lives at play.echoes-of-theron.com now, and this site at echoes-of-theron.com. The old idle-melee.vercel.app address redirects, so nothing you’ve bookmarked breaks, and your save is tied to your account, not the address.
The site itself went live with this patch: the changelog and the wiki are online, every Play button leads to the game, the screenshot galleries got a lightbox you can page through with arrows, keys or a swipe, and the front page carries an AI disclaimer that says exactly what AI was and wasn’t used for. Changelog entries whose text was written by AI wear an AI tag, this one included.
