v0.10.2 — The hunt is on

The regulars at the tavern’s corner table finally reveal their trade: they hunt monsters for coin. Pay their fee, and the kill is yours.

Highlights

The Hunting Crew

Pick any region you’ve explored and send the crew out. The fee scales with the mark’s level — the region’s enemy level at its purchased Resonance rank — and the scout takes 8 real hours, counting down while you’re away. They return with a report window naming a monster from that region’s bestiary and mark its lair tile ☠ on your world map.

The stalk

The mark doesn’t stand in the open. Every kill on the lair tile has a chance to draw it out — guaranteed within 50 kills — and the hunt is bound to the Resonance level it was scouted at: dial the region elsewhere and the trail goes cold until you dial back. It only ever shows itself while you’re actually playing; offline kills still count toward the stalk, so a full trail ambushes you the moment you return. Only one mark can stand at a time, it never expires, and a new report replaces an unkilled one. If it kills you, it flees — hunt and fee are gone.

The bounty

Killing a mark opens a reward window on top of its normal kill loot: 1.5× your fee in gold, a satchel of echo shards and cores scaled to its level, and a 25% chance at a unique — any tier can drop, with the usual weighting keeping the top tiers rare. It’s the only unique source outside dungeons.

The Bestiary

Each region hosts 6 named monsters — 30 in all, every one with its own portrait, its own body in combat, and its own tricks: some fast, some armored in ash or rust, some wreathed in their region’s element. The crew’s find is random and some entries are genuinely rare, so completing a region’s page is a long chase. The Bestiary window tracks them all — dark silhouettes until first blood, then name, story, kill count, and your highest-level kill. Seven achievements await: first blood, each region’s roster, and the complete book.

Also in this update

  • The Resonance level selector on the world map now uses the game’s own dropdown everywhere — no more OS picker popping up on mobile.
  • Pop-up banners are now reserved for achievements; hunt reports and bounties arrive as proper windows.
  • Music transitions changed: the old track now fades out fully before the next one fades in, instead of overlapping.
